What does Access ConsciousnessTM offer?
Access shows you how to let go of your problems. The techniques and tools provided give you the freedom of letting go of your struggle and of anywhere that you may have made the struggle greater than you. It opens up the possibility of relinquishing your self-doubt, which often creates a feeling of ease and peace for people. It lets you choose for YOU so that you can stop looking for your trouble spots and instead start using your gifts. What if there is no wrongness in what you truly desire? What would your life be like if you had more of what you really wanted?
Access empowers you to change anything in your life that isn’t working for you. It gives you the ability to do this yourself so that you’re no longer relying on other people or circumstances and it challenges you to laugh at yourself and see what you could easily be choosing if you weren’t judging you all the time.
More than anything Access is about being happy and enjoying life.
How does Access ConsciousnessTM work?
With the tools of Access Consciousness we ask questions designed to create awareness around the area you need assistance with. Those areas are then unlocked with verbal clearing statements that work on the energy you have around that topic, which then allows you to become whatever energy is required to change it. In truth the only real power is the power to change and transform anything and this is what Access shows you how to do.
Sound far too easy? Here is an example of how this might work. Basically, your point of view about life creates your reality, so everything in your life is there because of something you decided is true or real. Let’s say your grandma told you Chinese people are really smart but very cruel. Every time you see something on the news about China you will unconsciously relate that to Granny’s version of mean and clever Chinese people and compile it as evidence. Usually your brain will filter out most of the story and just remember the parts that reinforce what you already rubberstamped about China. Then every time you meet someone Asian you will have to look and see where they are functioning as cruel with regards to you. With Access, we get you to go back to when Grandma gave you her point of view, let it go, and let Chinese people show up in your life however they show up without your predetermined judgements of them.
The cool thing is you don’t have to remember when and who told you everything you believe. You just have to ask for it to change. You have the ability to change your point of view about anything if you are willing and by doing that your reality and your life will start to show up differently.
Do I have to believe in it for it to work?
You don’t have to know how it works or believe in it. It just works. Do you have to believe that your car will run or know how the engine functions for it to run? No, it still works nevertheless and Access is the same. We invite you to play with this, try it for yourself and see what happens. e easiest part is that unlike most conventional therapies or self-development techniques you don’t have to identify the details of the problem, or when it started, or who you bought that particular point of view from, or why, or how. None of that is relevant to the fact that it changes when you use these very simple and fast processes.
How Quickly Can I See Changes In My Life?
How fast things change is really up to you; are you willing to have your life change quickly and easily? Do you need baby steps or to think about it for a while? If you could get over a problem you have had for say 10 years, in just 10 weeks, would it be worth it?
Where Do I Start?
The Bars were the first tool developed by Gary M. Douglas almost 20 years ago and are the starting point for people interested in taking Access classes.
What he discovered is this: the brain is like a storage bank where we hold all of the information, decisions, judgements, thoughts, feelings and emotions, that we take with us lifetime after lifetime. There are 32 bars of energy that run through and around the head. They store the electromagnetic component of all the information that you have ever had about anything. There are bars for Healing, Body, Control, Awareness, Creativity, Power, Aging, Sex and Money just to name a few. Any idea, decision or belief that you have decided is right or wrong solidifies an energy and limits your capacity to have that area of your life show up as any different than it currently is. By holding these points on the head, the energy and barriers move and the electromagnetic charge can release and change. Releasing this energetic clutter gives you more space to have something new come into your life and helps you to effortlessly get out of the patterns you are in. This is called ‘Running the Bars’ because you are running energy through the points on the head. It’s like deleting all the junk files on your computer that are slowing you down.
What Are The Benefits Of The Barstm?
The purpose of running (gently touching) Bars is to teach people that they can actually lay there and receive. Receiving is not done on this planet and most gifts come with strings attached. Doing, doing, doing, in order to make sure you don’t have to receive, is what is done on this planet. This has to change. You have to be willing to receive in order to have a different possibility in life. Getting your Bars run allows you to begin to receive more in all areas of life.
What Is Consciousness?
In even the highest levels of government people are starting to talk about the vital necessity of consciousness to progress as a society, but what exactly is consciousness? Philosophers, scientists and mystics alike have applied their definitions identifying it as enlightenment, the state of wakefulness, mental acuity and observation, or even our subjective experience. While all of these ideas hint nebulously in a general direction, in truth, what is consciousness? Gary defines consciousness as including everyone and everything with out judgement of it. It is having awareness of everything that is, without having a point of view about it. Everything in creation has consciousness, including every molecule and the space between the molecules.
In a word, it is everything. It’s our being present with everything that is, without judgement of it or ourselves and by constantly including the acknowledgment of the consciousness that everything has. Access offers insight, processes and tools to begin to have an awareness of the consciousness in everything and in us, even if we haven’t chosen it yet. It is the willingness to be conscious in every area of your life so that you can choose in the full knowing of what your choices will create. Consciousness includes everything without judgement.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a method by which any person may be guided into an altered state of conscious awareness (‘hypnotic trance’) in which psychological and physical changes, beyond normal conscious capability, may be achieved.
What does it feel like?
The experience is different for different people. For most people, however, hypnosis is a pleasant state of deep inner calm and physical relaxation. Deep hypnosis is similar in many ways to the kind of profound trance found in expert yoga or meditation practitioners.
Where does it come from?
Modern psychological hypnosis was first developed in 1843 by the Scottish physician James Braid. However, it has its origins in an earlier form of trance healing called ‘Mesmerism’, after the famous Eighteenth century Austrian Franz Anton Mesmer. The word “hypnosis” (from the Greek hypnos, “sleep”) is an abbreviation of James Braid’s (1843) term “neuro-hypnotism”, meaning “sleep of the nervous system”.

What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a drugless therapeutic modality where the subconscious mind is accessed through “hypnosis’. Hypnotherapy is often applied in order to modify a subject’s behavior, emotional content, and attitudes, as well as a wide range of conditions including dysfunctional habits, anxiety, stress-related illness, pain management, and personal development.
Hypnotherapy is basically any therapy done in conjunction with hypnotic trance. It is often classed as a form of complementary medicine but is perhaps better viewed as a branch of psychotherapy. Hypnosis is not an occult or esoteric art, it is a scientifically acknowledged psychological and therapeutic discipline. When a registered psychotherapist employs hypnosis alongside other forms of psychotherapy this is technically known as ‘hypno-psychotherapy’. Hypnotherapists tend to use an integrative approach, which may combine programmes of direct verbal suggestion or visualisation with ‘analytic’ psychotherapy techniques such as age regression.
Does it work?
Yes. Hypnosis has fascinated psychologists and medical professionals for over a century and has been subject to a great deal of rigorous testing and research. It also has an enviable and long-standing reputation for effectiveness among the general public.
Is it officially recognized?
‘Hypnotism’ is legally acknowledged and defined by the Hypnotism Act 1952, in the UK Book of Statutes. In their 1892 Hypnotism Report, the British Medical Association (BMA) officially recognize the hypnotic trance: ‘The Committee, having completed such investigation of hypnotism as time permitted, have to report that they have satisfied themselves of the genuineness of the hypnotic state.’ The Committee also acknowledged that ‘as a therapeutic agent hypnotism is frequently effective in relieving pain, procuring sleep, and alleviating many functional ailments’ (BMA, 1892). . In 1955 a follow-up report was commissioned which endorsed the findings of the original 1892 Committee, and added the conclusions that ‘hypnotism is of value and may be the treatment of choice in some cases of so-called psycho-somatic disorder and psychoneurosis. It may also be of value for revealing unrecognized motives and conflicts in such conditions. As a treatment, in the opinion of the Subcommittee it has proved its ability to remove symptoms and to alter morbid habits of thought and behaviour. In addition to the treatment of psychiatric disabilities, there is a place for hypnotism in the production of anesthesia or analgesia for surgical and dental operations, and in suitable subjects it is an effective method of relieving pain in childbirth without altering the normal course of labour.’ (BMA, 1955).
Is Hypnotherapy like Stage Hypnosis?
Stage hypnosis is slightly different from hypnotherapy, however it is real hypnosis and the effects produced are possible for everyone to experience. Some stage hypnotists do good work but others generate misconceptions about the nature of hypnotic trance, which may lead to unfounded fears about hypnosis. In clinical hypnotherapy clients are never asked to do anything embarrassing or against their will.
Is Hypnosis Safe?
Absolutely. There are no known records of anyone having been physically or mentally harmed as a direct result of hypnosis itself. It is utterly impossible for anyone to get ‘stuck’ in hypnosis.
Could I be made to do something against my will?
No. Hypnotherapy is about you having more control over your own thoughts, behaviors and beliefs. No one can make you do anything, which is against your wishes.
Will I know what’s happening?
Yes, you are not asleep but simply very relaxed. You will clearly hear my questions & answer me in a very proper way. You will be able to relate what you see or feel in that state of trance. You have enough control to stand up and walk out, if you so wished.
